Giffer is a small app, taking 7.3 MB space only in your iOS device. With this app you can make awesome animated GIFs right from your iOS device. You can create GIF files out of photos in your iPhone album. You can take photos from your device and string them together, producing a GIF file. Like a simple photo you can embed on pages and sent or share them. Quite similar to video files, GIFs can play only a few frames, play back to back photos that you set or load from your browser. Giffer’s interface is nicely designed so that it is very easy to use. And you are able to choose from sharing the file on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, through e-mail or via MMS. “WHY DOES GIFFER NEED MY LOCATION?”
Giffer uses a custom built photo picker to select multiple photos at once. This method needs direct access to your camera roll. Because photos can contain location metadata, Apple requires location services permission. If you freak out and deny access, don’t worry – you can always re-enable access in iOS’ Settings app. Or of course if you’d like to select your photos one at a time using Apple’s built-in photo picker, that’s okay too. (It just takes way longer.)
